International Game Technology (IGT), a business that develops lottery and gaming software, has reached a strategic deal with Loto-Québec. This will result in the distribution of Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) across Canada. IGT Canada Solutions ULC, an IGT affiliate, will release PeakDual 27 VLT machines to support the ongoing VLT replacement process in Québec.
The newly introduced VLTs will feature dual 27-inch advanced monitors with improved graphics, sound, and lighting. Highly sought-after games, including 7’s Wild, The Wild Life 5 Line, and Big City 5’s, will be installed in the terminals. In addition, titles, including Cash Eruption-Temple of Fire, 7’s Wild Gold, and Samurai 888 Katsumi, will be available on the machines.
According to Stephane Fraser, the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Gaming Establishments at Loto-Québec, the organization has been in communication with IGT for quite some time in an effort to obtain access to their premium hardware and gaming content. It is now possible with the assistance of this current partnership.
David Flinn, senior vice president of sales for Canada, South and Central America at IGT, asserts that Loto-Québec’s confidence in IGT and its solutions is demonstrated by the organization’s decision to allow VLTs to be positioned during the current substituting process.
From online Canadian gaming news, the partnership between the two organizations is a progressive measure toward the modernization and expansion of its product portfolio. Loto-Québec partnered with Aristocrat Gaming earlier this week to provide VLTs with iconic titles, including Bao Zhu Zhao Fu and Fire Light. The implementation of these is scheduled for mid-2024.
As an organization, IGT is a global leader in the lottery industry and provides technology to twenty-five lotteries in the United States. This pertains to eight of the ten largest lotteries in the world and sixteen of the twenty-five listed worldwide.
Since the beginning of the year, IGT has maintained a dominant position in the lottery industry by forming numerous North American associations. Recent official statements from the organization indicate that it is currently engaged in efforts to enhance the technology associated with the Virginia Lottery. Additionally, its affiliation with the South Dakota Lottery has been strengthened and will persist until 2031.
