Now, the Canadian Gaming Summit is about to change hands by landing on the palms of SBC, an international event and media company.
SBC Agrees To Buy Canadian Gaming Summit
As per the terms agreed by SBC, it will completely acquire the summit once the upcoming edition of the Canadian Gaming Summit concludes on June 09, 2022. It will be kickstarted on June 07, 2022, in Metro Toronto Convention Center, which is located in downtown Toronto.
The deal agreed by SBC and MediaEdge Communications & Canadian Gaming Association allows SBC to take over the sections of the e-newsletter, news website, and print magazine of the Canadian Gaming Summit.
Even though SBC will take over the summit, it will continue to work in association with both the former owners. The objective will be to bring more content and financial scaling opportunities.
The Canadian Gaming Association will remain the official and strategic partner of the Canadian Gaming Summit. It will assist SBC in making sure that the constant growth of the gaming industry in Canada is kept alive.
Rasmus Sojmark, the Chief Executive Officer & Founder of SBC, called the acquisition of the Canadian Gaming Summit wonderful. He stated that the purchase of the Canadian Gaming Summit fitted perfectly to its portfolio.
Expressing how delighted SBC was, Rasmus Sojmark added that the opening of single-event betting was likely to transform the already vibrant gambling sector of Canada.
The acquisition of the Canadian Gaming Sector is expected to allow SBC to carry forward the well-established reputation of the great conference.
Ilkim Hincer, the Chair of the Canadian Gaming Association, said that Canadian Gaming Association was a national trade association that represented some of the leading operators and suppliers in the gaming, eSports, sports betting, and lottery industries.
He added that the board was thrilled to support SBC’s acquisition of the Canadian Gaming Summit. The deal will now give the Canadian Gaming Association more time to focus on its members and bring them the greatest value.
Paul Burns, the Chief Executive Officer & President of the Canadian Gaming Association, highlighted that the membership of the committee had grown exponentially in the previous year. He added that the association was excited to open the door of opportunities that will widen the access to networking and exchanging ideas of its members.
The Canadian Gaming Association has a working relationship with SBC. The association is, therefore, looking forward to working with SBC in the coming future.
