NorthStar and Kambi Are Teaming Up for Online Betting in Canada

Customers will be able to access a Kambi-powered sportsbook when online single-event wagering becomes available in Canada, which will begin on April 4th in the province of Ontario.

Kristian Nylén, who is both the co-founder and CEO of Kambi, said the provider’s agreement to enter Canada was a significant step forward. NorthStar revealed earlier this year that igaming technology company Playtech would offer the operator its betting and igaming platform after the launch.

Both Kambi and NorthStar Gaming are dedicated to the long-term and responsible expansion of the Canadian sports betting sector as they support the Canadian Gaming Association. Check complete sports betting news here.

What is Kambi?

Kambi is an approved B2C gambling company that provides premium sports wagering services. They offer services ranging from the front-end user interface (UX) through odds compilation and risk management with a unique software platform. Kambi’s more than 30 customers include ATG, LeoVegas, Churchill Downs Incorporated, Penn National Gaming, Kindred Group, and Rush Street Interactive. Maltese-based gaming company Kambi has offices across the world.

Kambi has been certified by ISO 27001 and eCOGRA and utilizes the best-in-class security measures. Nasdaq First North Growth Market trades Kambi Group plc as “KAMBI.” After a comprehensive review process, Kambi was chosen as NorthStar Gaming’s sportsbook supplier. Kambi has collaborated with more than 35 operators across the world and is known for providing highly customized sports betting experiences to customers in the regulated global betting and gaming sector. Operators and customers may tailor their experiences because of Kambi’s data-driven sportsbook and adaptable technology, and the company’s Scandinavian history has allowed it to produce a market-leading hockey offering.

NorthStar Gaming will aim to deliver a distinctive and responsible gaming brand that creates new employment, grows the Canadian economy, and generates new tax money to aid Canadian communities. North Star was created on the foundation of Canadian-based media business and trusted news institution for more than 128 years.

NorthStar has collaborated with respected and established media companies to capitalize on exciting sports content, powerful brands, and deep local ties to establish itself as a leader in the newly regulated business. The company also thinks that its Canadian-owned gaming operation will be a market leader, operating at the highest level of responsible gaming standards and ensuring that more of the local players’ entertainment dollars stay in the province.
