Loto-Québec has made a firm commitment to offering financial support to local non-profit organizations (NPOs) and the connected communities. The company will be contributing US$736,000 to them.
In the recent past, Loto-Québec has been instrumental in contributing $1 million to NPOs. This was offered with regards to the Giving Back is a Win-Win exercise. In 2022, the company is known to have contributed a total of CA$13 million.
There seems to be plenty of information doing the rounds in Belle Province for a while now. In the week gone by, the Quebec Online Gaming Coalition, which includes names like Betway, Games Global, DraftKings, Entain, Bet99, Flutter, and Rush Street Interactive, released a report based on a survey that found 73% of gamers in Quebec are inclined towards private operators in terms of online games and sports wagering. The ones who connect with Loto-Québec do so only to purchase lottery tickets.
According to the gaming news, Dave Pridmore, the Chief Gaming Operator of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, expressed his view that the growing number of certified players in the online gaming space in Ontario has compelled them to introduce fresh and inventive ways of making further improvements to their offerings to gamers to stay ahead of the increased competition.
Added to that, Pridmore strongly feels that no longer being a monopoly in the online gaming and sports wagering space will only help them to reinvent themselves. This will be an all-around winner move for all concerned, most of all the inclined gamers in Ontario.
The charitable lottery game Loto-o-Suivant contributed $500,000.00 to a variety of charitable endeavors. In the case of casinos and gaming spaces, they contributed CA$400,000. Further to that, some businesses and employees did their bit financially.
